Freediving course SSI Freediver in Costa Brava and Barcelona

The SSI Freediver, PSS Freediver or AIDA 2* freediving course is a definitive step forward. We introduce deep freediving, and we do it in such a unique environment as Costa Brava, a paradise for freediving in Girona, or in the coast of Garraf, the most privileged coast in Barcelona.

This course is for people who, besides all the techniques of the Freediving Pool course, also want to get initiated in the deep diving, into the sea.

To enroll in this course there is no need of any previous experience or any other previous freediving certification.

During the Freediving Level 1 course we do theory, practice in the swimming pool and practice in the sea. During the theory we will study the physics and the physiology about the freediving to be able to understand the next part, which is the breathing, the relaxation and the concentration techniques, the safety procedures and the freediving technique itself. During the practice sessions we will learn the techniques which will make us become efficient in the Static (STA), Dynamic (DYN) and Constant Weight (CWT) disciplines.

The goal of the course will be to achieve a Static (STA) of at least 1 minute, a Dynamic freediving (DYN) of 30m long and a Constant Weight freedive (CWT) between 10 and 20 meters of depth.

The Freediving Level 1 course has a duration of two days.

Finishing this course with all the requirements will give you the opportunity to access the freediving specialty courses of Monofin, Dynamic No Fins (DNF), Training Tables, Free Immersionn (FIM), Freediving Training Techniques for Spearfishing and Surf Survival, our survival course for surfers, besides letting you access the Freediving Level 2 course.

And if you want an even more complete course sign in our Freediving Level 1 XL Course, in which you will have two extra sessions in the sea, to finish the course even more prepared.

All our freediving courses are conducted regarding the standards of the freediving international organization SSI, with equivalencies to other organizarions as PSS, AIDA or PADI.

Freedive l'Estartit performs all the freediving courses at our freediving center facilities in Empuriabrava, in the heart of Costa Brava, Spain, with the Cap de Creus as freediving area, and in the Club Nàutic Garraf, few minutes away from Barcelona city, with the Coas of Garraf as a freediving area, unless we indicate a different location in our freediving courses calendar, published here.
